As I sit and eat my breakfast this morning the gravity of the recent events in my life finally catch up to me. Let me say this journey that I have recently started calling a self-calibration really showed me some great things about life. I feel that if I don’t share these while they are fresh I probably won’t share them accurately in the future. So if you care to follow along please continue reading below.
First off always be true to yourself, this concept has been illustrated to me vividly multiple times. As with all humans occasionally we must learn this more than once, from what I can tell we will spend a good portion of our life on trying to fully understand and embody this principle. When you are my age or younger this expression is kind of hard to comprehend as we are still seeking to clearly define who we are much less how to be true to an undefined ideal.
What I have concluded on this is that we all need to allow ourselves room to make mistakes and when we make them find out what we need to do to correct them. Additionally this means we need to learn to think independently as advice should always be welcomed and considered but normally this is given from a perspective of personal success. Just because it worked for a similar person in a similar situation only you will truly know what is best for you so listen to your heart. Most importantly don’t be afraid to try things you are interested in because you are uncertain about how others might perceive them. The people in your life that truly matter won’t judge you on your actions alone but also by intent behind them. Honestly most people that matter won’t judge you in a condemning way at all that will just sit back and enjoy watching find your own way through this amazing life.
So this is just one of many profoundly simple lessons I have been fortunate enough to learn in my brief time on this planet. Thanks for listening and stay tuned for more in the future.
